My Approach to Therapy

Therapy isn’t where you become someone new — it’s where you remember who you were before you had to armor up.

Healing doesn’t have to be performative. It can be quiet, deep, and yours alone. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy that centers your lived experience — honoring both your resilience and your weariness. Therapy here is collaborative, culturally responsive, and focused on what liberation looks like for you.

What to Expect

Therapy with me is a balance of warmth and structure, presence and precision. I use evidence-based and measurement-based approaches, including CBT, CPT, ERP, Unified Protocol, and interpersonal process work, all tailored to your needs and goals. Tools are only as powerful as the relationship in which they’re offered, so we begin with trust, safety, and clarity about what you want from our work. I use humor and metaphors to make sense of what feels tangled, to lighten heavy moments, and to remind you that even in hard seasons, there’s room for laughter and insight.

My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive. That means I recognize how systems, identity, and lived experience shape mental health, and I honor these impacts in both the questions I ask and the way I listen. I don’t assume neutrality on issues of equity, social justice, and belonging. I lean into curiosity, holding space that affirms your reality, your voice, and your vision for healing.

Whether you're working through grief, burnout, trauma, anxiety, or major life transitions, therapy is tailored to support both healing and growth. We’ll track your progress with care and flexibility, making sure that therapy is working for you, not the other way around. Whether we’re working short-term to build coping skills or engaging in deeper, more sustained work, we’ll move at a pace that respects both your experiences and your goals. Healing takes time, but it doesn’t have to feel stagnant. Together, we’ll blend reflection with action, helping you reclaim your story and move toward lasting transformation. And don't worry, I won't let you off the hook, expect to be asked to practice what you've learned. Because at the end of the day, I'm committed to ensuring you walk away from therapy with practical tools you can use for a lifetime.

Healing is Possible

I believe in giving your story the space it deserves — we won’t rush through your healing or skip over the deeper layers. At the same time, I know that meaningful change matters, and I’m committed to helping you see progress in ways that feel practical and empowering.
