Nurturing Clinician Growth
Supporting the growth and well-being of therapists is a core part of my practice. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, I offer clinical supervision, professional consultation, and mentorship designed to nurture the healer, strengthen clinical skills, and promote professional longevity. Whether you’re an early-career clinician seeking guidance, an experienced therapist looking for a fresh perspective, or a mental health professional navigating complex clinical dynamics, I create a supportive, growth-oriented space where you can deepen your practice, build confidence, and stay rooted in your purpose. Let’s work together to sustain your passion and effectiveness as a therapist.
While all three services focus on your professional growth, they serve distinct purposes. Each has distinct differences and the below information can help you decide which one best fits your needs.
Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is a structured, ongoing relationship designed for clinicians seeking to build their skills, deepen their clinical insight, and ensure ethical, competent practice. Whether you’re an early-career therapist working toward licensure or an experienced clinician looking for continued growth, supervision provides a consistent space to reflect on your clinical work, discuss complex cases, and develop your professional identity.
In supervision with me, you’ll receive guidance rooted in evidence-based practice, cultural humility, and professional sustainability. We’ll focus on case conceptualization, therapeutic techniques, managing countertransference, and ethical considerations, while also exploring your personal and professional development. My goal is to help you build confidence, enhance your clinical skills, and navigate the challenges of therapeutic work with integrity and compassion.
I am currently able to provide clinical supervision in Texas.
Professional Consultation
Consultation is a flexible, short-term or as-needed process designed to address specific clinical questions, case challenges, or professional dilemmas. Unlike supervision, consultation is not an ongoing relationship and is not linked to licensure requirements. Instead, it’s a collaborative problem-solving process that provides targeted insights and practical guidance. In consultation, the consultee holds all responsibility and liability for client treatment.
You might seek consultation when you encounter a complex case, need input on a particular therapeutic approach, or want support managing professional or ethical issues. During consultation, I bring a fresh perspective to your current challenges, helping you develop effective strategies and solutions. This process is designed to be practical, focused, and directly applicable to your current clinical work.
Mentorship
Mentorship is about fostering your long-term growth as a therapist, both personally and professionally. This relationship goes beyond case consultation or skill development. It’s about career guidance, professional identity formation, and sustaining your passion for the work. Whether you’re early in your career, navigating transitions, or looking to refine your professional path, mentorship offers a supportive environment for reflection, goal-setting, and growth.
In mentorship with me, we’ll explore your aspirations, challenges, and professional identity. We’ll discuss how to maintain professional longevity, build resilience, and stay aligned with your values. This process supports your development beyond clinical skills, helping you cultivate a fulfilling and sustainable career.
Which one is right for me?
If you’re looking for ongoing support to build clinical skills, reflect on your practice, and grow as a therapist, supervisionis the best fit. If you need focused input on a specific clinical challenge, ethical dilemma, or therapeutic approach, consultation is the right choice. If you’re navigating professional identity, career transitions, or seeking long-term guidance on sustaining your work as a therapist, mentorship offers a more holistic, supportive relationship.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure about your path as a healer, therapy for therapists provides a safe space to address the emotional impact of your work and reconnect with your sense of purpose. In therapy, we’ll explore your own well-being, manage compassion fatigue, and support your personal and professional balance.
